A number in an advertisement cannot tell you what an individual accident claim is worth. A useful legal conversation starts with the facts, the documents available and the questions an attorney needs to evaluate.
Separate your financial concerns into categories
Create a private list of bills, vehicle costs, missed-work records and other issues you want to discuss. Keep documentation with each category. This is a preparation exercise, not a statement that every item is recoverable. Ask the attorney which categories matter in your circumstances and what information is needed.
Ask what would affect an evaluation
Instead of asking for an instant payout figure, ask what facts remain unknown, what legal issues require review and which documents are useful. The attorney should explain the limits of an early assessment. A result advertised in a different matter does not establish a floor, ceiling or average for yours.
Understand documents before making decisions
A proposed payment, release or agreement should be read in its full context. Ask an attorney what it would resolve, whether it affects other issues and whether there is a response deadline. Keep the complete document rather than forwarding only a screenshot of the signature page.
Clarify communication responsibilities
If you already have an attorney, confirm how the firm wants you to handle incoming requests and which matters it is handling. If you do not, identify the request and date when seeking advice. Do not assume a referral inquiry means an attorney is already tracking deadlines or communicating with an insurer.
Discuss fees separately from claim value
Ask whether there is a consultation charge and how attorney fees, case expenses and other financial obligations are addressed in the proposed agreement. Do not assume that a phrase used on another firm’s website describes your arrangement. Request written terms and ask about anything you do not understand.
Get an individual review
Optimum Injury Pros does not evaluate claim value, negotiate payments or provide legal advice. You can call to request an attorney connection and discuss the next step in that process. An independent attorney decides whether to accept a matter and provides any individualized advice.
